Our Services

  • Our specialised Play Therapy for Children offers a welcoming and supportive space tailored to kids aged 3 to 12. In these Therapeutic Services for Children, we use guided play to help them explore emotions, behaviours, and thoughts they may find difficult to express in words. Through Play Therapy, children facing challenges like anxiety, trauma, or social and behavioural issues can experience deep emotional healing, fostering resilience and self-acceptance. This service for Mental Health for Children promotes growth and development within a safe, nurturing environment.

  • Our Filial Therapy sessions strengthen the attachment bond between children and their parents or caregivers, enhancing Family Therapy by involving parents directly in therapeutic play interactions. This Attachment-Focused Therapy for Children and Parents improves communication, builds trust, and fosters secure family relationships, encouraging meaningful family connections. This approach to Support for Parents not only reinforces parent-child bonds but also helps parents develop therapeutic skills to better understand their child’s needs.

  • Family Therapy at Strong Foundations is a vital part of our Family Support Services. We create a supportive space for families to explore family dynamics, improve communication, and address unique challenges together. Each Therapy for Families session is tailored to your family’s needs, with a focus on building stronger connections, open communication, and a positive home environment. Family Therapy helps families navigate challenges and promotes lasting, healthy relationships.

  • Our 5 Day Intensive Play Therapy Program offers a focused therapeutic experience designed to support children’s emotional and social development during the school break. This structured program provides a safe and engaging environment where children can build resilience, explore emotions, and develop essential coping skills. Through play-based and therapeutic activities, children facing challenges like anxiety, social difficulties, or emotional regulation issues receive targeted support to promote mental health and well-being. This intensive service is a valuable addition to our Therapeutic Services for Children, offering growth and development within a concentrated timeframe.

  • Our Parent Guidance and Support services offer practical strategies to help parents foster their child’s emotional and behavioural development. Through our Support for Parents sessions, we work with you to address common parenting challenges, provide insights on child behaviour, and reinforce positive parent-child interactions. This service helps you build a strong, supportive role in your child’s life, while enhancing Therapeutic Services for Children and the family as a whole.

"In play therapy, children reveal what they need and what they struggle with, and the therapist’s role is to facilitate a process that enables healing and self-discovery."

Starting Your Child’s Therapy Journey

  • Book Your Initial Assessment

Begin your child’s Therapy for Young Children journey with a comprehensive initial assessment, conducted via telehealth over 60 minutes. During this session, we meet with parents or caregivers to gain a deeper understanding of your child’s needs, background, and the challenges they face. This assessment session is designed to offer Support for Parents and address questions, discuss goals, and determine how our Child Therapy Services can help. Together, we’ll create a roadmap for Emotional Support for Kids and begin tailoring a Therapeutic Services for Children plan.

  • Begin Play Therapy Sessions

Once we have a thorough understanding of your child’s needs, Play Therapy Sessions will begin. Each 45-minute session is a dedicated time for your child to express thoughts, emotions, and behaviours through play in a safe environment. Our Therapy for Children services can be held at home for convenience, with an option for clinic appointments on Saturdays. Through these sessions, we focus on providing ongoing Mental Health for Children and building resilience.

  • Engage in Parent and Professional Feedback Sessions

We believe in a collaborative approach to Therapy for Children and Support for Families in Need. Throughout your child’s therapy, we maintain regular feedback sessions with parents, allowing open communication about progress and any adjustments needed to meet evolving needs. Additionally, with parental consent, we work with other allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care, providing effective Family Support Services across Sydney.
